Experience, Expertise, and Care
I have been a therapist for almost 20 years as well as a counselling university professor and researcher in family attachment and relationship dynamics. My overall guiding clinical counselling principal is that the client directs the course of therapy depending on their goals, and I meet the client wherever they might be in that process.
Clients come to me for an exploration of their important family and romanic relationships as well as for life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, and abuse.
My area of specialization is interpersonal attachment related issues, whether that is related to your family history or present in your current relationships, or a change in those relationships due to separation or loss. I work with individuals, as well as couples. I am empathic and non-judgemental but I might also challenge your assumptions. I will ask you the questions that hopefully will enable you to find the answers within yourself.
